Recent Success at Jet Wheel Tyre

Jet Wheel Tyre, a member of Point S with 3 depots in Essex, has recently had some success stories:

  • Alex Philips was a finalist in the Castle Point Apprentice of the Year 2015.  They  won in 2012 with James Hemmings and should know at the end of March whether Alex has been successful, however, he has done so well to get into the Final they are very pleased.

Saturday 5 April 2014 they won Castle Point Business of the Year. A total of 160 guests looked on during the Castle Point Mayor’s Civic Dinner as they  became the seventh winner of the annual award, which is presented to a company that has demonstrated business excellence over the previous 12 months.

In their  winning application, they were able to showcase their membership of Trading Standards’ Buy with Confidence Scheme, and achievement of Pirelli Performance Centre Platinum status (one in only 6 to gain the Platinum status), passing a strict audit from industry specialists who assess businesses on quality of staff, premises and customer satisfaction.

  • They  were one of the 20 finalists in the UK Small Shop of the Year competition this month.

The Best Small Shops Competition is run by the All Party Parliamentary Small Shops Group and administered by the Independent Retailers Confederation.  The judging of the Best Small Shops Competition took place throughout February 2015 and was based on the shop’s entrepreneurial activities, their work within the community and innovation in their business.
