How to know its time for new tyres?

The law states that the legal minimum is 1.6mm across the width of the tyre however dependent upon what type of motoring you do it is advisable to change them well before they reach the legal minimum.

Braking distances are significantly increased as your tyre tread reduces as is grip in damp or slippery conditions.

Uneven tyre wear can lead to the steering juddering, the car can feel as if it is “pulling” to one side or the other or you may hear unusually loud road noise. All these can be symptoms of wear & tear.

We offer a FREE tyre check at our Basingstoke branch so don’t risk your safety and that of your passengers by waiting too long to get tyres checked, after all it costs nothing to check.

Easy payment procedure

Our reserve and fit system has been designed to be very easy to use and better still we do not take any payments online up front, you simply pay when the work has been completed at the branch.

There are several ways to reserve tyres, simply enter your registration number into the box, check your vehicle details and confirm, then merely select the tyres you want and click select, you then choose the date and time that suits you best at the branch of your choice.

It really is as simple as that, if you don’t have your registration number enter the tyre size you want and repeat the above procedure.

To find the tyre size it is found on the outside side wall of the tyre

It will look something like this:

205 / 55 / R16 / 81H

Width = 205

Profile = 55

Rim Size = R16  (Radial)

Load Index = 81
