HOW TO CHECK TYRE WEAR

Point S tyres and all tyre brands have tyre wear indicators built into the tyre. They become noticeable when the tread is low. The legal limit in the UK is 1.6mm. Before the tyre wear indicators are level with the actual tread, it is time to replace your tyre as the indicator is set at the legal limit of 1.6mm.

Another way to check the tread wear is using a tyre tread depth gauge. These gauges are readily available at motorist wholesalers, or you can call your nearest Point S approved garage for one of our experts to check your tyres.

Whatever technique you prefer, you should inspect your tyres regularly.

TYRE WEAR CAUSES

Wear of the tyres can be as simple as the distance traveled.
Wear can also be caused by the deterioration of another component on your vehicle.
