Saved the day !, back in June I was getting ready to go on my holidays which meant an evening drive to Glasgow airport.
Earlier that day I filled the car with fuels and checked the tyres where upon I found that one of the valves was leaking and really did not look safe , half of it fell off when I took the cap off. Panic I had only 3 hours to sort it and could not afford a problem on route or I’d likely miss my flight . I went to my usual garage which I won’t name and shame but it was a very large UK tyre fitting brand in dyce and even though I was a regular and stressed the urgency all they would offer was an appointment in 3 days time . Desperate by this point and thinking my car tyre would go flat on my way to Glasgow and the holiday would be ruined . I rushed round to Colin’s Tyres who I had used in the past but not recently . I explained my situation to reception and they basically stopped the job they where working on and the mechanic took my car right then , next to make matter worse the valve was stuck fast but the mechanic carefully cut it off saving my tyre pressure monitor then refitted a new valve and still had my tyre monitor working . It was an old valve and very difficult to change but the mechanic was a Star , whole thing took 20 minutes and only cost £ 20.00.
So a huge thank you to all the staff who helped me and basically saved the day . Thank you for listening and helping me when I needed it.
I travelled to Glasgow and back trouble free and had a great holiday in Italy .
Needless to say I will now use Colin’s in the future .
