Whether you’re a local or just passing through Herefordshire, finding a garage you can trust is a major win. Here is a comprehensive review for John Wood Tyres in Leominster that captures why they’ve built such a solid reputation.
Review: Exceptional Service at John Wood Tyres, Leominster
If you are looking for a no-nonsense, professional, and genuinely friendly tyre specialist in Leominster, look no further than John Wood Tyres. Having used various national chains in the past, the experience here is a breath of fresh air. From the moment you pull into the depot, it’s clear that this is a team that values customer service as much as technical expertise.
Expertise You Can Trust
The Leominster branch, managed by Craig, is incredibly efficient. Whether it’s a standard tyre replacement, a complex 4-wheel laser alignment, or a quick battery check, the team handles it with total transparency. One of the standout qualities of this garage is their honesty. In an industry where "upselling" is common, the staff at John Wood Tyres will never tell you a tyre needs replacing if it still has safe, legal miles left on it. They prioritize your safety and your wallet equally.
Comprehensive Care
While tyres are their specialty—including a great selection for motorcycles—they offer much more:
Precision Alignment: Essential for those of us navigating Herefordshire’s notorious potholes.
Brake & Battery Services: Quick, reliable inspections that provide peace of mind before long journeys.
Efficiency: Even when they are busy, they manage to get you back on the road surprisingly quickly without ever making the work feel rushed.
The Verdict
The pricing is highly competitive, often beating the big-name retailers, but it’s the local, community-focused feel that keeps people coming back. It’s the kind of place where you feel like a valued customer rather than just another registration number. For anyone in the Leominster area needing tyre repairs or maintenance, I cannot recommend Craig and his team highly enough. Reliable, fair, and professional—five stars all the way!
Tip: If you're dealing with uneven tyre wear, ask them to check your tracking/alignment. It’s one of their specialties and can save you a fortune in the long run!

Brilliant service. They found the faults quickly and ordered the parts. They arrived the next working day and were fitted the following day at my convenience. Friendly, helpful staff and somewhere I will now go for all my tyre requirements. I can't recommend them highly enough.

A fantastic customer experience shown by the guys at the Leominster branch!
I was able to be seen without an appointment, after developing a puncture overnight.
One of the staff members even drove my girlfriend, my young son and myself back to my girlfriend's house, in his own car, so we could pick up another car.
The staff members in Hereford also brought my new tyres over to Leominster, as they weren't in stock. This was all done on a Saturday too. Absolutely first class service and highly recommended 👌
