Jet Wheel Tyre opens MOT and servicing centre

Jet Wheel Tyre has officially opened the doors to a new MOT, servicing, and mechanical repairs centre. The new site adjoins its current tyre depot in Benfleet. The move sees the company diversify from a traditional tyre retail model to a more comprehensive automotive offering – including MOT testing, mechanical repairs and servicing. The new location, formerly trading as Elmsleigh Invacar, will now operate under the Jet Wheel Tyre name.
“This expansion is a natural evolution for our business,” said Martin Crane, Director at Jet Wheel Tyre. “We’ve built strong trust with customers over the years through our tyre services, and now we can meet their MOT, servicing, and mechanical needs – all at one site.”
The business, established in 1990, is now in it’s second generation of family ownership. It has built a reputation for expert service and customer loyalty across its three existing sites in Essex. The new facility has undergone a significant transformation, including a complete fit-out with new MOT equipment, two-post lifts, and upgraded facilities. “We’ve already been running the site for over a year, moving it under the Jet Wheel Tyre name allows us to offer MOTs and servicing to our existing customer base,” Martin added. “This is about building a stronger, more comprehensive business that caters to our customers’ needs and keeps their vehicles maintained and safe”.
As a founding member of the nationwide Point S UK network, Jet Wheel Tyre is a prime example of the group’s evolving profile. Having been initially focused on tyre retail, Point S members are increasingly expanding into full-service vehicle maintenance.
“Jet Wheel Tyre is a perfect case of how Point S members are more than just tyre dealers,” said Ali Yilmaz, Point S UK Managing Director. “Our network supports members with fleet opportunities, training, and peer support – helping independents grow into fully rounded auto centres.”
Martin echoed the benefits of membership: “The network’s been invaluable – not just for tyres and supply chain improvements, but for learning from other members as we move into the mechanical side of things. The support system makes a real difference.”
